Privacy
SelvaCoa, a division of Macondo Investment LLC (Virginia, USA), sells Colombian cacao beans to chocolate makers. This page explains what happens to the information you give us on this website.
- We only collect what you type into our two forms.
- No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising trackers.
- We use your details to answer you and, if you ask for beans, to ship them.
- We never sell or rent your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
What we collect
Product request form
Your name, email, chocolate company, website or Instagram, the option you choose, your shipping address and country, phone number, roughly how much cacao you use a year, the origin you ask about, your message, and the boxes you tick.
Contact form
Your name, email, company (optional), country, phone (optional), the topic and your message.
When you visit
Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages see technical details such as your IP address and browser, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use them to identify you. Fonts and images come from our own site, so your visit is not shared with font or image services.
Why we use it
- To answer your message or request.
- To review sample and trial-pack requests (one per company, for makers who roast from the bean).
- To prepare quotes, invoices and orders.
- To ship samples and orders to you.
- To tell you when a lot you joined a waitlist for has landed.
- To keep a record of what we sent and agreed.
We do not use your details for advertising and we do not add you to a newsletter.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom: we use your information to take the steps you ask for before an order (requests and quotes), to fulfil an order, and for our legitimate interest in running a business-to-business service.
Who handles it for us
- Formspree receives what you send through our forms and emails it to our team.
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website.
- Our shipping software and the carrier (for example USPS) receive your name, address and phone number to deliver a shipment.
These services may process information in the United States and other countries. We share only what each one needs for its job.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it to handle your request and any business that follows, and to keep the records the law requires. You can ask us to delete it sooner, at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, correct it, delete it, or stop hearing from us about waitlisted lots. Depending on where you live (for example the European Union, the United Kingdom or California) you may have further rights; we honor these requests wherever you are.
To ask, use our contact form and choose "Privacy request", or reply to any email from us. We answer within 30 days.
Children
This is a business-to-business website for chocolate makers. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
